5th – 6th December 2020
The Broadford State Motorcycle Complex hosted the Goulburn Valley Junior Motorcycle Club (GVJMCC) first two-day motocross open, since the pandemic shut us down, in Victoria.
The Junior’s took to the gates on Saturday, and the Seniors followed to compete on Sunday.
SATURDAY 5TH DECMBER- JUNIOR RESULTS
50cc DIVISION 2 RESULTS:
In the 50cc Division 2, Dandenong MCC’s Kaide Tenace (105 points) went undefeated grasping three wins from three starts. Tenace set the fastest lap in Moto one with 2:13.810 seconds, and moto three with 2:33.330 seconds. Kaide won race one with a 29.967 lead, won moto two by 16.017 seconds and won moto three by 6.585 seconds.
Dandenong MCC’s Jett Barclay (94 points) secured second place overall and the fastest lap in moto two of 2:14.721 seconds.
Dandenong MCC’s Kaizer Delany (90 points) finished third.
65cc 7 – Under 9 RESULTS:
Dandenong MCC’s Jett Barclay (102 points) finished strong with two race wins with large leads, moto two 9.945 second lead and moto three a 6.972 second lead for the 65cc 7-Under 9 class overall. Barclay set the fastest lap in Moto 1 2:09.348, and Moto 3 2:49.214.
Goulburn Valley Junior MCC’s Cody Dunne (99 points) won a moto one by 1.220 seconds and dual runner up for second overall.
Rosebud & District MCC Lewis-Jay Carafa (84 points) finished third.
65cc 9 – Under 11 RESULTS:
Tasmania’s Cambridge Moto Jay Jennings (102 points) travelled across Bass Straight winning two motos for the 65cc 9-11 class win. Jennings won moto one by 1.220 seconds and set the fastest lap time in moto two 1:56.726.
Goulburn Valley Junior MCC Jobe Dunne (99 points) finished robust capturing the final moto win for second place overall.
Goulburn Valley Junior MCC’s Nate Waldie (88 points) completed the podium.
85cc 9 – Under 12 RESULTS:
Tasmania’s Cambridge Moto Jay Jennings (102 points) captured his second class win for the two day open, the 85cc 9-12 was won similarly with two moto wins. Moto one Jennings won by 5.519 seconds and set the fastest lap of 1:45.376 seconds. Race two Jennings set the fastest lap time of 1:45.689 and won the race by 6.025 seconds.
Goulburn Valley Junior MCC’s Jobe Dunne (99 points) collected his second class runner-up with a final moto win. Dunne won the moto by 1.448 seconds and set the fastest lap of 1:56.195.
Maffra-Sale MCC’s Xavier Moulton (83 points) finished third.
85cc 12 – Under 16 RESULTS:
Dandenong MCC’s Luke Cartwright (102 points) claimed the 85cc 12-16 Class win with two moto wins. Moto one, Cartwright won by 12.668 seconds. However, the fastest lap was set by Wagga Wagga MCSC’s Cooper Rowe of 1:40.816 seconds. Moto two, Coope Rowe won by 2.322 seconds and set the fastest lap time of 1:42.907. Moto three Cartwright won by 21.404 seconds. However, the fastest lap was set by Cooper Rowe of 1:51.086 seconds.
Cooper Rowe (97 points) finished second overall, and Ararat MCC’s Auston Boyd (92 points) finished third.
125cc Junior RESULTS:
Horsham MCC’s Thynan Kean (105 points) dominated the 125cc collecting three moto wins and the overall. Moto one, Kean won by 5.521 seconds and set the fastest lap time 1:33.926. Moto two, Kean won by 33.128 seconds and had the fastest lap time of 1:36.559. Moto three Kean won by 3.651 seconds and set the fastest lap time of 1:40.749 seconds.
Wagga Wagga MCSC Byron Dennis (92 points) finished second and
Dandenong MCC’s Luke Cartwright (90 points) third.
250cc Junior RESULTS:
Horsham MCC’s Thynan Kean (105 points) remained undefeated
at Broadford, winning the Junior 250cc, with three moto wins. Kean set the best lap in all motos, moto one with 1:33.926, moto two with 1:36.559, and moto three with 1:40.749. Over the two days, Ty had six starts and six wins.
Wagga Wagga MCSC’s Byron Dennis (92 points) finished second, and Shipwreck Coast Motocross Club’s Troy Mora (90 points) thrid.
SUNDAY 6TH DECMBER- SENIOR RESULTS
MX2 RESULTS:
Rosebud & District MCC’s Jai Constantinou (102 points) won the MX2 class with two moto wins. Constantinou won moto one by .674. However, it was Liam Andrews that set the fastest lap time of 1:36.092. Moto two Liam Andrews won by 1.0250 seconds and set the fastest lap time of 1:33.539 seconds. Moto three, Constantinou won by 7.900 seconds and set the fastest lap time of 1:33.178 seconds.
Horsham MCC’s Liam Andrews (99 points) finished second overall, and Rosebud & District MCC’s Chandler Burns (88 points) finished third.
MX1 RESULTS:
Albury-Wodonga Motorcycle Club’s Joben Baldwin (102 points) was strong in the MX1 class with two moto wins. Moto one, Baldwin won by 6.263 seconds and set the fastest lap time of 1:34.277. Moto two, Baldwin won by 6.271 and set the fastest lap time of 1:32.720 seconds. Moto three, Jackson Coulson won the moto by 17.289 seconds, and Baldwin set the fastest lap time of 1:39.739.
Dandenong MCC Jackson Coulson (97 points) finished second overall and Portland Junior MCC’s Hugh Roache (86 points) third.
WOMENS RESULTS:
Ballarat Rovers MCC’s Emma Milesevic (105 points) dominated the Women’s class with three wins.
Moto one, Milesevic had the fastest lap time of 1:42.633 seconds.
Moto two, Milesevic had the fastest lap of 1:42.849 seconds. In moto three, Milesevic had the fastest lap of 1:46.748.
Cobram Border Junior MCC’s Madison Healey (96 points) in her senior debut finished second.
VETERAN RESULTS:
Goulburn Valley Junior MCC’s Steven Jones (105 points) dominated the Veterans’ with three moto wins. Jones set the fastest lap in all three motos 1:45.047 seconds, 1:42.849 seconds, and 148.951 seconds.
Ballarat Rovers MCC’s Michael James (96 points) finished second and Horsham MCC’s Grant Preece (86 points) third.
