Officials are an integral part of every Motorcycle event, whether it is National, State, Club or Recreation event. Without Officials no event is possible.
Levels of Officials & What They Can Do
There are four different Levels of Official.
NOTE: Official Licences will only be issued if a current Working With Children (WWC) check has been supplied.
A Level 1 Official can act as a operational official, under the guidance and supervision of Key Officials.

Step 2: Scroll down to ‘Become a Coach / Official’ and click the button ‘Become and Official’
Step 3: Follow the prompts to take the Online Course
Level 2 Officials can act in Key Official roles at any Club and/or Interclub level event.
Want to become a Level 2 Official?
You will need to attend a Level 2 Officials Seminar.
To register for one of our Officials Seminars click here.
In order to be accepted to the course you will be required to have a current Level 1 Officials Licence and a WWC.
Level 3 Officials can performs duties at any Club, Interclub or Open and State level events.
Want to become a Level 3 Official?
To upgrade to a Level 3 Official, you will need to have had siginificant experience as a Level 2 in the same role, and recent experience as an assistant to a Key Official at a Open or State Level event.
To apply to upgrade to a Level 3 Official, please submit all of the below by email to firstname.lastname@example.org
- A completed application form download here
- A copy of your Participation Journal
- Examples of the reports your have completed (if relevant to the requested accreditation)
- A Letter of endorsement from a current Level 3 or Level 4 Official
Your application will be sent to the Motorcycling Victoria Officials Panel for review and you will be notified of your application outcome as soon as possible after a decision has been made.
Level 4 Officials can perform duties at Club, Interclub or Open/State and National level events and are appointed by Motorcycling Australia.
Want to become a Level 4 Official?
Motorcycling Australia are responsible for appointing all Level 4 Officials, but first you must receive approval and endorsement from your State Controlling Body and attend a Level 4 Seminar (organised and facilitated by Motorcycling Australia).
To apply to upgrade to a Level 4 Official, please submit all of the below by email to email@example.com

- Participation Journal
- Letter of Endorsement from a current Level 4 Official
Your application will be forwarded onto the Motorcycling Victoria Officials Panel for review. You will be notified of your application outcome as soon as possible after a decision has been made.
If your application is successful your application will be sent to Motorcycling Australia for approval.
Motorcycling Australia will then contact you with the next steps on your application.
Renewing an Official’s Licence:
Officials licences last for a period of four (4) years. At the end of this period you will need to renew your Officials Licence. Motorcycling Victoria will send you a Letter to remind you.
Motorcycling Victoria is responsible for renewing all Officials Licences, up to Level 4.
To renew your Motorcycling Victoria Officials Licence please complete the below form and supply it and a copy of your Participation Journal to firstname.lastname@example.org
Motorcycling Australia is responsible for Level 4 Officials Licences.
To renew your Level 4 licence complete the below form and supply it and a copy of your Participation Journal to email@example.com for endorsement and approval, once approved this will be forwarded onto Motorcycling Australia for processing.
