Motorcycling Victoria has a range of initiatives in place to increase and promote female participation across all areas of motorcycling sport including riders, officials, coaches and volunteers.:
The Female Participation Program endeavours to change perceptions around the roles of females within the sport and to bring about sustainable cultural change to support females in all areas of the sport now and for the future.
How can I get involved:
You can ride in either competitive or non competitive events, in 10 different motorcycling disciplines, at over 50 different venues across Victoria! With so much to choose from there is something to suit everyone’s ride style and passion.
Officials are an important part of every Competitive and Non-Competitive event. There are a number of different types of official that are used in all disciplines of motorcycling sport, so there is bound to be something to suit you, your skills and what you enjoy. Without Officials an event would not be able to take place.
Coaches ensure that our next generation of motorcycling stars are instructed correctly and safely and are more than capable of mixing it with the best Australia has to offer. There are currently three levels of coaching accreditation which define the level of coaching that you can instruct.
There are a number of options available for people who would like to volunteer their time and become involved in the sport. The best way though is to go through a local club and help out with everyday duties where there can never be enough hands on deck. From a clubs perspective volunteers can be hard to find and then, even harder to keep.
You can in touch with your local club here.
