RETURN TO PLAY PLAN
1. HYGIENE
To help stop the spread of viruses like the flu or coronavirus good hygiene is essential.
That starts with washing your hands thoroughly with soap and water whenever you cough, sneeze or blow your nose, prepare food or eat, care for someone sick, touch your face, or use the toilet. Remember to cough or sneeze into your arm or a tissue. Bin the tissue and wash your hands.
Clubs will supply liquid soap only, please bring your own disposable gloves and hand sanitiser. Venue bathroom facilities will be monitored and cleaned regularly throughout the event. Limit contact with others; no shaking hands or touching objects unless necessary.
2. PHYSICAL CONTACT ACTIVITIES
Motorcycle Sport is a non-contact sport.
3. ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE OF PARTICIPANTS, OFFICIALS, PARENTS OR CARERS
Event entry is restricted, everyone must list contact details for possible contact tracing. Everyone must follow directions of the CovidSafe Officer. Venue entry points and exit points will be signed.
Currently there are limits to gatherings of groups of people to reduce the risk of people spreading coronavirus (COVID-19).
As of the 22 July 2020, Change rooms and showers can open, and clubrooms at sport venues can have up to 20 people per indoor space. Non-contact competitions can resume for all ages.
Organised non-contact competitions are allowed for all age groups if participants can keep 1.5 metres between them and there are no more than 20 participants in the competition.
For people aged 18 years and under, full-contact training and competition may resume. There are no limits on the number of people per group activity or class if all participants are 18 years old or younger.
Spectators for training and competitions must abide by public gathering restrictions. Spectators should be in groups of no more than 10 people in open, outdoor venues and spread out around the ground or venue.
Before you play:
- If you have tested positive to coronavirus (COVID-19), are living with a diagnosed person orhave had close contact with a person who is confirmed to have the virus, you must stay at home.
- If you are feeling unwell you should stay at home. If you have even mild symptoms ofcoronavirus (COVID-19) then you should get tested.
- Wash your hands before you play or
- If you are using shared equipment it should be cleaned and sterilised before you use When you play:
- Keep 1.5 metres between yourself and others wherever possible. This doesn’t apply topeople aged 18 years and under while playing sport or
- Don’t share drink bottles, helmets or equipment that touches your face or
- Cover your mouth and nose when you cough or After you play:
- If you are using shared equipment it should be cleaned and sterilised after you use
- Wash your hands when you get
Use your own equipment where possible and minimise sharing of equipment. Shared equipment should be cleaned between uses.
Non-contact sporting competitions for all age groups can also begin from 11:59pm on 21 June. Full-contact training and competitions may resume for people 18 years and under.
Gathering limits will not apply to participants and those reasonably necessary to conduct the training or competition (e.g. officials, coaches).
All participants must be pre-entered, no spectators are allowed. Self-scrutineering forms must be completed before entry. Any further changes/announcements will be made over the venue Public Address System.
4. SPECTATORS/GATHERINGS
Event entry is restricted, everyone must list contact details for possible contact tracing. Everyone must follow directions of the CovidSafe Officer. Venue entry points and exit points will be signed.
Posters around the venue advising keeping at least 1.5 meters distance between everyone at the workplace. Signs will be erected and monitored at entrances to ensure the maximum safe capacity is not exceeded. Nominated CovidSafe officers for each group to be responsible for reminding everyone to keep the required 1.5 meter distance apart in accordance with the latest government requirements. When possible, accept only cashless transactions.
When Venue Canteen Facilities are operational, ensure that venue canteens are set up to adhere to physical distancing requirements (1.5m and one person per 4m2).
When moving throughout the venue, ensure social distancing, follow venue signage and directions of the CovidSafe Officer.
WHEN YOU ARE WELL
Everyone, even when well, can help slow the spread of COVID-19. This means:
- wash your hands often with soap and This includes before and after eating and after going to the toilet
- use alcohol-based hand sanitisers when you can’t use soap and water
- avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth
- clean and disinfect surfaces you use often such as bench tops, desks and doorknobs
- clean and disinfect objects you use often such as mobile phones, keys, wallets and work passes
- use tap and go instead of cash where possible
- increase the amount of fresh air by opening windows or changing air conditioning
WHEN YOU ARE SICK
It is important that you stay at home if you feel unwell, do not attend any Motorcycling Victoria meetings/events. You should also continue to practise good hygiene. If you have cold or flu like symptoms you should seek medical advice and get tested for COVID-19. You should get tested even if your symptoms are mild. If you have COVID-19 you must isolate and follow the directions of your local Public Health Unit.
5. SHARING EQUIPMENT
Good hygiene practices the sharing of drink bottles, towels is prohibited. Equipment that that touches the head of face or cannot be effectively cleaned (for example, if made from soft materials or clothing) should not be shared. Where sharing equipment cannot be avoided, equipment with smooth surfaces should be cleaned between sessions.
Upon venue entry, every one must follow advice of CovidSafe Officers and Medical personnel.
6. GROUP/TEAM ACTIVITY

Participant behaviour: No shaking hands or high five are permitted unless participants are gloved.
7. INDOOR FACILITIES
Venue Canteens will be take-a-away only.
8. TRAVEL
To prevent the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), the Stay at Home Direction restricts travel to participate in sport and recreation activities to day trips only.
9. HIGH INJURY RISK ACTIVITY
To reduce the strain on Victoria’s health and emergency services, common sense should be used in avoiding activities that have a high risk of injury that may result in hospitalisation.
If competitors feel they need hospital attention, the venues professional medical staff must be consulted first to reduce/prevent any strain on our health services. The venue medical staff are highly trained in motorsport injury management and are either off duty paramedics, ambulance or nurses.
Only 1 parent/guardian is allowed in the medical zone and must follow directions from medical staff.
10. PROTOCOLS
Before entry into the venue everyone must meet protocols to ensure participants are free of coronavirus (COVID-19) symptoms.
If a person feels unwell they must stay home.
Any further changes/announcements will be made over the venue Public Address System.
11. COMMUNICATION
Communication methods will be listed in the Supplementary Regulations and event final instructions.

Non-compliance will result in non-entry to the venue and ejection from the venue. Serious negligence will result in further disciplinary action under the Manual of Motorsport and/or reporting to the police.
