
The Historic Motorcycle Racing Association of Victoria (HMRAV), is the premier Victorian based promoting club for Historic road Racing which covers the period 1910 - 1980.
The HRMAV promote and organise vintage motorcycle racing events throughout Victoria. The HMRAV promotes and conducts three feature weekend events each year.
The first being the Victorian Historic Titles, then Historic Winton 4 + 2, followed by The Southern Classic and Mt Tarrengower Hill Climb at locations including: Winton, Broadford, the Island Classic at Phillip Island is conducted by PIMS around Australia Day each year.
HMRAV events are designed to provide a fun day for all participants, under a relaxed social atmosphere.
Pre-war extends to the early days of motorcycling, and machines in this group are limited.
Classic [1945- 1963] racing involves solo and sidecar machines, such as Norton, Triumph, AJS, Ducati, Arial, BSA, Vincent, Benelli are among a long list of brands participating.
Post Classic [1964 - 1972] includes Honda, Jawa, Ossa, Kawasaki, Suzuki and the Forgotten Era [1973 - 80] covers all the Japanese manufacturers, European Ducatti, Laverda etc and includes the early Superbikes.
Sidecars from all these periods number up to 40 machines for a noise a and rubber filled starting grid.
A red plate registry is available to club members with suitable machines.
