
BOARD DIRECTOR POSITIONS EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST OPEN
As Motorcycling Victoria continues a new phase of the sports growth and development across the state, we invite qualified and experienced members of the community, to express their interest in two vacant Board Director positions.
As a vibrant and community-oriented sporting organisation, we are excited to welcome a diverse range of talents to contribute to our Board of Directors, who proudly represent the sport and lead significant strategic and governance responsibilities.

Motorcycling Victoria is a long-standing organisation that plays an important role in shaping the Motorcycling community across Victoria.
We are committed to promoting safe, inclusive, and exciting motorcycling experiences for enthusiasts of all ages and backgrounds.
Our mission is to advance the sport while fostering a sense of community and passion among our members. This mission is underpinned by the organisation’s 2026-2027 Strategic Objectives:
1. Strengthen trust and engagement with Clubs and stakeholders
Build enduring relationships through transparency, responsiveness, and shared purpose.
2. Grow participation and diversify pathways across all disciplines
Ensure participation is inclusive, accessible, and supported by clear progression pathways.
3. Ensure safe, compliant, and inclusive sport delivery
Uphold high standards in safety, compliance, and equity across all operations and events.

Advance MV’s maturity in governance, risk oversight, and organisational effectiveness.
5. Drive strategic investment and financial sustainability
Secure and steward resources to support long-term growth, innovation, and Club development.
THE ROLE
As a Board Director with Motorcycling Victoria, you will have the opportunity to drive strategic decisions and initiatives that shape the future of Motorcycle sport across the state.
Your input will directly impact our organisation’s growth, sustainability, and positive influence on the community, and how MV works in partnership with Clubs, sub-Committees, and other groups of stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates who align with some or all of the following qualifications and characteristics, will be considered strongly:
- Board Experience: Experience serving on Boards or participating in governance roles is highly valued. Your ability to collaborate, communicate effectively, and contribute to strategic planning is crucial.
- AICD qualification or other governance qualification is highly desirable.
- Government Relations: Experience working directly with, or liaising with different tiers of government (i.e. local, state and federal) to drive outcomes that support organisational and the sport’s standing within the Australian sporting landscape.
- Legal: Qualifications in and/or experience leading legal organisational functions are highly desirable, in a highly dynamic and diverse sport.
- Asset Management: Experience in optimisation of an organisation’s physical, financial, technological, and intangible assets to maximise long-term value, manage risk and ensure sustainability.
- HR: Experience working or supporting the HR function of an organisation, with people management, development, and skills growth as core functions.
- Marketing: Experience in understanding and applying change to how impactful prompt, open, transparent and collaborative communications came benefit a community sport environment.
- Interest in Motorcycling: While not a mandatory criteria, an interest in or understanding of motorcycling is desirable. Your passion for sports or community engagement would add value and insights to our discussions and planning.

Following the 24 March 2025, the Motorcycling Victoria Nominations Committee will review all EOIs submitted, shortlist candidates and conduct interviews.
The Committee’s duty throughout this process is to ultimately nominate candidates that align with the qualifications and skills the Board are recruiting for, to then stand for election at the Motorcycling Victoria AGM on Wednesday 20 May 2026.
