
Motorcycling Victoria is delighted to confirm the continuation of the 2026 Victorian Road Racing Championship, with two further rounds to complete the season as a threeround championship.
Following Round 1 in January this year, the formation of the MV Road Race Committee and the commitment shown by volunteers within the road racing community has allowed the series to move forward. The remaining rounds of the 2026 Victorian Road Racing Championship will be held at the State Motorcycle Sports Complex, Broadford on the following dates:
• Round 2 – August 15 & 16
• Round 3 – October 10 & 11
Results from Round 1 will remain part of the championship standings and will carry through to the completion of the series in October.
Motorcycling Victoria General Manager – Operations, Shane McCarter said he was looking forward to the season continuing.
“We’re delighted to confirm the continuation of the 2026 Victorian Road Race Championship with two further rounds to be run at the State Motorcycle Sports Complex in Broadford later this year,” he said. “It’s a credit to those volunteers that have committed to forming the MV Road Race Committee and the work they’ve done across the last several months that the series will be finalised in October. We’re excited for the road race community and look forward to the remainder of the season.”
Motorcycling Victoria would also like to thank riders, officials, clubs, volunteers and the broader road racing community for their patience and ongoing support while plans for the continuation of the championship were worked through.
Motorcycling Victoria Interim CEO, Edward Wilson said, “The formation of the MV Road Race Committee is aligned with MV’s 2026-27 Strategic Plan to uplift all sporting disciplines, to implement participation strategies and advance the delivery of State Championships events where applicable. This Committee in a short period of time, has showcased what is possible and we’re grateful for their support and engagement with MV to date”.
Further details regarding championship structure, classes, supplementary regulations and event entries will be released in the coming weeks, with entries to open once meeting details are finalised.
