“We are working hard to ensure the event reaches greater heights in 2016 and will work closely with Motorcycling Australia, the promoting club, and organizers to make it a truly memorable event for all involved.
“The event has become one of international interest in recent years, with the success of Toby Price, Daniel Milner and Matt Phillips and we hope to see another high quality field line up to tackle this years A4DE.”
Motorcycling Australia’s CEO David Cottee today commended Yamaha Australia on its continued support of major Off-Road events, including this year’s A4DE.
“It’s great to have Yamaha on board again as the naming rights sponsor for the 2016 Australian Four Day Enduro,” Cottee shared.
“The Enduro discipline has enjoyed some significant success, particularly over the last 12 months, so it’s fantastic that Yamaha Australia recognise the talent we have in this country, and continue to support events like the A4DE.
“We are very excited to be working alongside Yamaha, the promoting club, and key personnel to make this year’s A4DE one to remember.”
The format for the 2016 A4DE will see riders travel to a range of special tests per day, where the riders race against the clock.
The culmination of these timed tests (around six per day including the final motocross test), as well as ensuring each check point is made on time will determine the winner.
Previous winners of the event include Australia’s very own Daniel Milner, 2016 Dakar Champion Toby Price, as well as a number of others, such as and ex-world champions from Europe Juha Salminen and David Knight, as well former Australian world champs Shane Watts and Stefan Merriman.
