Riders selected for Elite Rider Training Camp

Eight lucky riders have been selected for the 2015 MV Elite Rider Training Camp from September 21-23.

Eight lucky riders will be attending the 2015 MV Elite Rider Training Camp in September after being selected from the Application Forms received last week.

The riders that will be in the 2015 class are:

Jack Matthews (Bendigo MCC)
Samantha Beecroft (Whittlesea & District MCC)
Jai Wedlock (Koo Wee Rup MCC)
Brenton Naylor (MCRCV)
Danielle Foot (Geelong MCC)
Dean De Fazio (Rosebud & District MCC)
Ryley Oakes (Dandenong MCC)
Josh Major (Dandenong MCC)

“It’s great to see the Camp still attracting some of Victoria’s most talented riders,” lead coach Chris Gray said.

“The Camp is designed to take them to the next level. Sure it’s OK to ride fast but our aim is to show these elite riders how to sustain a long career in their chosen discipline and give them the tools to go as far as they want,” he added.

The guest presenters for the Elite Rider Training Camp are headlined by Stephen Mion and Lee Hogan, returning to offer their assistance for the second year in a row.

“The level of professionalism and knowledge that Stephen brought to the Camp last year was great and Lee brought in a few surprise guest of his own, so I can’t wait to see what he has in store for the riders this year!” MV Operations & Events Manager Mark Vallance said.

“It will be great to work with another group of elite riders and to see them grow, just like the class of 2014 are currently showing,” Chris said.

The 2015 MV Elite Rider Training Camp is due to take place from September 21-23 in Melbourne. Details are being finalised and a greater introduction to the 2015 class will take place in about a month from now.

Congratulations to the selected riders!
