Meet the riders of the Elite Rider Training Camp

Meet the riders of MV’s 2016 Elite Rider Training Camp taking place in Sept. at the Parkview Hotel in Melbourne.

WITH about a month to go until the Elite Rider Training Camp, taking place at the Parkview Hotel on September 19-21, it’s time to get to know the riders of the 2016 Elite Rider Training Camp a little better!

There are some great coaches and presenters lined-up to help these riders get as much as they can out of the Camp, including Stephen Mion (FitMoto), Cam Donald and Lee Hogan (BCP Coaching Systems).

All the Training Camp materials are just about finalised, the details are all confirmed and we’re now in the home stretch.

The riders, representing Motorcycling Victoria, in the 2016 Elite Rider Training Camp are:

SAMANTHA BEECROFT

Club: Whittlesea & District Motorcycle Club
Discipline: Motocross
Class/Grade: C Grade

2015 Results:

Northern Region MX Series Ladies Class – 1st

Northern Region MX Series C Lites – 26th

Victorian Senior MX Championship Ladies Clubman – 3rd

Victorian Senior MX Championship U19C – 5th

Victorian Senior MX Championship C Lites – 32nd

MX Nationals Ladies Class – 7th

Reason for attending the Training Camp: “I wish to attend this Camp because I believe I would receive the best quality training off the bike. It would be an amazing opportunity to build and enforce the knowledge that I acquired from last year. I believe I am at a stage where I am able to focus on racing and take it somewhere.”

Injury interrupted 2015 season, Victorian Junior MX Championship 250cc – 4th through two rounds

Reason for attending the Training Camp: “My motivation for wanting to attend the Camp is being able to have the opportunity to learn things about the sport that will help me gain so much knowledge and experience to help me progress and succeed in years to come.

“I am hoping to gain confidence in myself through attending this Camp, which will allow me to go into races with a better mindset and attitude and be able to set a more positive and confident example to younger girls.”

Reason for attending the Training Camp: “I intend to listen and learn as much as possible. There is so much I want to learn.

“I know that I need help learning the best ways to work on my training, nutrition and racing approach. I know that it can help me to know and understand the correct way to act around my fellow competitors and my sponsors and sponsors of the sport. I have the support of my parents and family and know that if I can attend this Camp it will give me the best possible chance to reach my highest potential with my racing and in life.”
