Come 'n' Try Days

Come 'n' Try Days are a fantastic way for your club to recruit new members from the wider community.

Come 'n' Try Days are remarkably cheap for your club to run and are free of charge for the participants.

Come 'n' Try Days are also an integral part of the MotorSafe Program. Each time Motorcycling Victoria visits a Primary School it is imperative that the local clubs conducts a Come 'n' Try Day for the school students to attend.

These students are very keen motorcycling enthusiasts, however often they are not sure how to get involved. Conducting Come 'n' Try Days for them is not only a benefit for them, it is to the benefit of your club.

Aim:- Club recruitment of new members who wish to "Come and Try" for the first time motorcycle activity. If successful the club might recruit new competitors, recreation riders or Officials.

Generally popular for Mavrickana's or after MV's MotorSafe Program visits where clubs run an "Open Day" for the public.

For a Club to conduct a Come 'n' Try Day there are a few points that MUST be followed:

  • Come 'n' Try Days can be conducted only every 6 months by any one club
  • Licences are provided by MA to SCB's who order them for clubs prior to event - These licences apply to the particular event only.
  • These licences CANNOT be used for Club Practice Days, Race Days, Recreation Ride Days or Rally Rides
  • Clubs must apply for a Come 'n' Try Day Permit. The permit costs are the same as for a Club Practice Day. The MV Rider Levy is NOT applicable for Come 'n' Try Days.
