Motorcycling Victoria's MotorSafe Program was developed in 1998. The aim of the program is to develop a responsible and safe attitude towards motorcycle use amongst primary school children, by educating them on aspects such as safety equipment and the law.
For the students who currently have access to a motorcycle, the program will teach them responsible use of their bikes. For those who do not own or ride motorcycles, we will provide them with a great opportunity to develop valuable safety skills whilst having fun. Some of the key points we cover are.
In order to keep the presentation fun and interesting for the children, we include a short DVD and power point presentation. We will also bring in some safety gear to help accurately display how safety gear should be worn.
The presentation will approximately go for a length of 60 minutes and is suitable for children ranging between the ages of 6-14. Each child will take an activity book home that includes fun activities as well as valuable information that the children can learn.
The program is available to all schools throughout Victoria.
