AS WE head closer to the end of the year, MV is set to step up some of the club-associated activities with our Motorsafe Program.
So far in 2011, Motorcycling Victoria has taken its message of safety and awareness into over 100 schools, and presented to nearly 4,000 students.
This is a great way for us to give back to many of our clubs' local communities, and spread important message about the need to be safe and ride in controlled environments.
We expect to reach another 1000 kids over the next month, and will also be running Kick Start Days at local clubs in conjunction with these presentations.
Kick Start Days give kids the opportunity to get to their local club and see what it is all about, participate in some training to enhance their skills, and to obtain a free licence that we are offering to encourage them into the sport.
We have six more Kick Start Days set up in 2011 to tie into the program.
This should be beneficial for clubs as well as the kids, as they are often keen to attract new riders.
If this is something you or your club would like to be involved in (in any capacity), feel free to contact Dominique, our Motorsafe Officer, on 9673 0610 for more information.
As always, we are open to feedback to see how we can improve and help your sport, and I would invite any feedback to be sent directly to me via ceo@motorcyclingvic.com.au.
