Changes for 2013 Junior MX Classes

Motorcycling Australia (MA) wishes to advise of a rule change for the 2013 Junior Motocross classes. This rule change was approved by the MA Board in 2011 for implementation on 1 January 2013.

Rule Change
For parity the 128cc to 150cc 2 strokes will be moved into the 200cc to 250cc 4 stroke class and the 100cc to 125cc 2 strokes will continue to be run separately.

The two solo classes for 13 to Under 15, 15 years will change from:

13.2.9 Categories for Junior Australian Championships (Motocross)

    200cc to 250cc 4 stroke             13 to under 15yrs, 15yrs

    100cc to 150cc 2 Stroke             13 to under 15yrs, 15yrs

To:

13.2.9  Categories for Junior Australian Championships (Motocross)

    128cc to 150cc 2 Stroke, 200cc to 250cc 4 stroke                13 to under 15yrs, 15yrs

    100cc to 125cc 2 Stroke                                                   13 to under 15yrs, 15yrs

A rule change submission for the 150cc 2 stroke/250cc 4 stroke Female, 13 to Under 16 years class is going through the rule change process now. The Motocross Commission minutes can be found here.

Feedback on the information contained in the 2012 Commission minutes is encouraged and should be submitted to MA by COB Friday 13 July.
