Status quo after 8 Hour Q2 as Suzuki cruise
December 03, 2011

Josh Waters along with teammates Troy Herfoss and Robbie Bugden have Team Suzuki sitting pretty heading into Super Qualifying.

It was as you were after the Qualifying 2 session with Team Suzuki still setting the pace at the Phillip Island 8 Hour Australian Endurance Championship.

After blowing the field away in the first session of the day courtesy of a 1:33.768 best lap, the talented trio of Josh Waters, Troy Herfoss and Robbie Bugden took a more conservative approach to the final session before Super Qualifying, recording a best lap 1:35.008.

Despite dropping more than a second off their morning pace the team was still the fastest outfit for the session with the Cube Racing Suzuki crew of 2010 ASBK Champion Bryan Staring, Ben Henry and 2011 Kirk McCarthy Memorial Award winner Nicholas Waters second fastest, but unable to better the effort of Suzuki’s Supersport team from the first session.

Team Cessnock were again the pick of the Supertock 1000 teams, finishing more than 2.5 seconds clear of their nearest rival Bridgestone Endurance crew sporting AMA Pro Superbike riders Trent Gibson and Jordan Burgess.

California Superbike School hold the position of fastest Superstock 600 qualifiers ahead of WET4U Racing.
