The Central Victorian Motocross (Central Vic MX) Club has been devastated at the heartless theft of the Toolleen Motocross’ Bobcat and destruction of the canteen, storage shipping container and other items during a late night theft at the Toolleen Motocross Track.
The Central Vic MX Club has an entirely new committee that has gone in full of ideas and fuelled with passion for the sport. The new committee had planned to make improvements to the Toolleen Motocross track and re-launch the track to riders in the coming weeks. Unfortunately it appears that this will not occur at this stage, as the new committee has inherited some debt from their predecessors, they are unable to fund a replacing the bobcat or the damage that has been done to the track, property and buildings.
The club is calling on riders and the local community to try and find their bobcat again (pictured above), Motorcycling Victoria is offering the opportunity for any information regarding this heartless attack & theft to be anonymously reported to the State Controlling Body, any and all information received will be treated in strict confidentially and you can remain anonymous. If you have any information regarding this please contact Robert Mestrom at Motorcycling Victoria at robert.mestrom@motorcyclingvic.com.au or on 0417 545 912.
In the meantime the club has been left displaced, with no equipment and no funds to make repairs to the track and property.
If there is anyone out there who is willing and able to assist the club with loaning equipment, manpower or can donate or support the club with items (such as glass) to fix the property it would be a phenomenal gesture. If you are able to assist in any way, shape or form please get in contact with Jen on 0459 708 415.
At the end of the day the track is run by volunteers for rider’s enjoyment. By stealing from clubs you are stealing from all of the riders and the local community that they support.
