BECOME A COACH

There is only one way to become a Coach and that is by attending a Level 1 Coaching Course. More information on Coaching Courses is below.

All coaches will need to get a Working with Children Check to have their licence renewed.

LEVELS OF COACH

There are currently three levels of coaching accreditation –

  • Club Coach (Level 0)

A Club Coach can only conduct Kick Start Coaching with a club and cannot take out a permit for themselves, run a coaching day OR conduct endorsement coaching – they can coach a maximum of six people at a time during Kick Start. To become a Club Coach you will need to attend a Level 1 Coaching Course and pass the assessment, you will not need to complete any post-course work.

To renew your licence submit the relevant Application Form (found on the “Forms” page of the MV Website) and a copy of your Working with Children Check.

Level 1 Coaches can take out their own permits, run coaching days, conduct endorsement coaching and Kick Start Coaching – they can coach a maximum of six people at a time, unless with a Level 2 Coach where they can then coach up to ten people at a time.

To become a Level 1 Coach you will need to attend a Level 1 Coaching Course and pass the assessment – you will then need to complete the following post-course work:
